Prof Roger Wallis
Part-time Professor Multimedia, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm,
Sweden, Dept of Media Technology and Graphic Arts. Elected Board Member, Swedish
Music Copyright Society (STIM) and Executive Chairman of the Swedish Society
of Popular Music Composers (SKAP). Ph D from Stockholm School of Economics,
and Gothenburg University (Department of Journalism and Mass Communications).
Current interests: The IPR / Copyright regime and its ability to survive in
an un-managed network environment. The development of an on-line media environment,
issues of creativity, trust, integrity and responsibility in the Internet world,
e-commerce and new partnerships. The role of trusted agents (human or computerized)
in the on-line environment, in particular the role of music collection/protection
societies. Cultural diversity, Disintermediation, vertical integration in the
media/technology industries, consumer acceptance of new media delivery technologies

Prof Olle Findahl
Ph.D. in cognitive psychology 1984. 1970-1993 researcher at the Audience and
Research Department at the Swedish Broadcasting Cooperation. Full Professor
in Media and Communication at Umeå University 1993-2003. Founder of advanced
programs in Science Journalism and Media Engineering. Part-time Research Manager
at World Internet Institute 2000-.
My research have been focused at the audience and user and how we get to know
the world around us through media. I have also been interested in new technology
and how new media transforms the old. I am now working with a longitudinal study
of how the Swedes use Internet and also a longitudinal study of the digitalisation
of the news production and its effect on the diversity of television news. Special
interest in media coverage of risks and war.

Lars-Erik Ericsson
Doctor of Technology in Telecommunication Theory from Royal Institute of Technology
1974. Employed at Institute for Microelectronics and Information Technology
as project leader and co-ordinator of MUSICLESSONS. Senior consultant in ICT
business strategy with special focus on commersialisation of research results.
Current interests: New technology for content distribution with special focus
on peer-to-peer networking. The new IPR/Copyright regime and the possibilities
for creation of new business. Development of services including new access technologies
and AAA (Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting). Trust and dependability
of critical ICT infrastructures. Recent year activities include long-term competence
building with respect to Internet scalability, information security and stability.

Håkan Selg
MSc from Stockholm School of Economics. Senior consultant in industrial economy
and organization with special focus on the diffusion and impact of new information
technologies.
His activities during recent years cover a wide area of Internet user studies
with a number of reports published by the the ICT Commission, the Swedish University
Computer Network (SUNET) and the Swedish Language Council. Thematic fields are
the use of Internet among women, among elderly people and the webb access for
users with disabilities. Of particular importance is an analysis of driving
forces for the use of Internet based on a survey on current research in Sweden
and abroad.

Ulf Blomqvist
Part time PhD student at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and part
time Assistant Program Manager at the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems
(VINNOVA). He is born 1971, holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science specialising in
Business Administration.
For a period of six years – starting at Bonnier, a Swedish and international
media group – he has worked at different positions within the Internet
and the dot.com-industries mainly with strategic, business and conceptual development,
advising executives in major Scandinavian Corporations. He has been working
as a researcher at KTH since 2002, now part time, and his main domain of research
is technology and media enhanced learning – the effect of history and
experience when introducing new forms of mediated learning.
